Rise Global signs agreement that strengthens ties with Sport Structures (UK)



Rise Global (Australia) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sport Structures (UK) in what marks a significant step forward for both organisations and opens up a variety of opportunities for collaboration. Sport Structures and Rise Global have together been extensively involved in the development of the National School Sports Strategy (NSSS) for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

“We are very excited about our relationship with Sport Structures” said Michael Dahdal, Managing Director at Rise Global.


“During the course of working with Sport Structures and its Managing Director Simon Kirkland in particular, we found that we shared many of the same values in regards to Sports Development. We are both especially committed to quality education and training in building the local capacity to be able to deliver effective and sustainable sports programs that take into account all the variables within the local context” he added.


The sports sector is becoming increasingly professional and is now often guided by academic and scientific principles that continue to evolve at an exceptionable rate. Sport is also increasingly becoming recognized as an effective tool to improve outcomes across health and education, as well as, in delivering on broader social and community development goals.


Simon Kirkland, Managing Director at Sport Structures suggested, “Our relationship with Rise Global has developed through our international work and the MOU builds on these sound values and appreciation. Now in our tenth year of operation of successfully shaping the development of sport and we are conducting the four year impact study into the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games mass participation legacy and our partnership seeks to apply this learning to emerging sports systems across the world.”

Sport Structures and Rise Global offer a range of complimentary services and this agreement will see increased collaboration in sharing networks and resources and strengthen both organizations capabilities to continue to deliver high quality Sports Development engagements globally.
